We have given a new bench to the residents of Marjorie Waite Court (MWC). It is currently located in a temporary position while our work continues but it will eventually be repositioned to a permanent place to be enjoyed by all residents. Steve Watson, one of the residents at MWC said: “Amazing donation of the bench! It’s a fantastic addition to MWC to sit and gather my thoughts and where I can chat to other people walking past and hopefully making new friends.”
Hobson & Porter commissioned The Humber Wood Recycling project to construct the bespoke bench. This project is a self-funding social enterprise which recycles and upcycles timber into useful and decorative products. Humber Wood recycling collect all of our waste timber from our construction sites. It is then used in training, volunteering and workplace opportunities for people being supported in training and work.
