We have recently gifted a new bench to the residents of the existing Marjorie Waite Court. It is currently located in a temporary position pending further construction works but it will eventually be repositioned to a permanent place to be enjoyed by the residents new and old. Steve Watson, one of the residents at MWC said: “Amazing donation of the bench, fantastic addition to MWC to sit and gather my thoughts and chat to other people walking past and hopefully making new friends.”
Hobson & Porter commissioned The Humber Wood Recycling project to construct the bespoke bench. The Humber Wood Recycling Project is a self-funding social enterprise who recycle and upcycle timber into useful and decorative products. As a corporate partner of the project, Humber Wood recycling collect all of our waste timber from our construction sites which is then utilised in training, volunteering and workplace opportunities for individuals who may be considered disadvantaged or marginalised form the labour market.
