On July 18th we hosted our first residents’ coffee morning for the existing residents of Marjorie Waite Court. Keeping these residents up-to-date with the works and what it means to them is essential part of our stakeholder strategy for this project. Over the coming months access & egress routes will change and a new entrance to the building will replace the existing one. Furthermore plumbing, lighting, power and heating will all switch over to a new supply and ultimately, the size of the building will increase substantially bringing with it dozens of new residents.
Our Tenant Liaison Officer Jane Foster introduced herself to the residents and explained what the new extension will mean to them in the short, medium and long term. Following the introduction Jane hosted a question & answer session where residents could raise any concerns they had and get a better picture of the improvements coming their way over the next few months. The coffee morning was great demonstration of the great community spirit which already exists at Marjorie Waite Court and of course, it wouldn’t be the same without a few biscuits shared among friends new and old!
